In 2017 Alexandria Co. adopted the first initiative to grow sunflower in Egyptian fields and extract the oil in their factories, creating a fully integrated process. Not only did this initiative benefit Alex Seeds, but also the Egyptian economy. Through encouraging Egyptian farmers to grow sunflower seeds, due to the factory’s demand, it created a new market in the agriculture sector. Moreover, It created many job opportunities and enhanced the overall well-being f the agriculture sector in Egypt.
